Sylvia Perez was a 55-year-old immigrant who had been in the U.S. for a year when she married 85-year-old millionaire Stanley Draskinis in 2004. 

When Mr. Draskinis died 9 years later at age 94, the parties were in the midst of a divorce. Nonetheless, Ms. Perez attempted to take against his Last Will & Testament pursuant to Virginia statute, but the Prenuptial Agreement she signed prior to the parties’ marriage prevented her from doing so.
