Voluntary Retirement Not a Basis for Modification of Spousal Support

The Virginia Court of Appeals ruled this week that a former Secret Service agent who voluntarily retired was not entitled to reduce his spousal support obligation for his former wife, despite depleting his savings and relying on his current wife to make the monthly payments.  To learn more about recent rulings on family law, please contact our office to schedule a consultation.
